At the meeting of the Services Committee in March, Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council made the decision to deliver a consultation on the land at Union Street.
The main consultation to be by letter drop in the streets immediately around the green space. An additional on-line consultation will also take place. The consultation to comprise a short information leaflet including:
- Background information about legal covenants and the Town Council’s obligations under the Well-being of Future Generations Act and the Climate Emergency Declaration.
- Information and design illustration of the proposal with space for comments
Opinions and suggestions would be invited about the existing proposal and any alternative proposals.
The consultation will take place after the election in May.
