These walks range from 8.1 to 9.3 miles. They are listed in order of length on the left.

Walk 2 to Kerry can be shortened to 5.6 miles by omitting to go into Kerry (there are two pubs, The Herbert Arms and The Kerry Lamb) or may be an optional one way walk of 3.6 miles into Kerry as there is a bus service back to Newtown.

Walk 8 to Dolforwyn Castle can be lengthened to 12 miles by including a side trip to visit Abermule (there is a pub at The Abermule Hotel) or may be an optional one way walk of 7.3 miles into Abermule. Buses are available every hour or two to Newtown.
